By djlovell This was the required textbook for my University Discrete math course. Compared to many other math textbooks, I think the explanations offered could be better, but many in depth examples are given.
In each chapter, there are "Pauses" incorporated throughout to check understanding of various example problems. At the end of the chapter before the exercises, these are answered. The exercises at the end of each section were fairly comprehensive, and some of them are solved in the back of the book. If you have to use this book, I would recommend renting it through this vendor any day! It showed up in a timely manner and is easy to return. Thank you! Worst math textbook! By AAK Worst textbook ever. Explanations are very hard to understand, very confusing, and do not at all help you in doing any of the exercises corresponding with the chapter. My professor also found a mistake in one of the explanations in one chapter, and who knows there might be more.
